Spring 2003 Engineering Fair a Success

Attendess Agree - Fair was Fun and Informative

FREMONT, CA (April 7, 2003) – Intellect Lab, a high tech services company has just finished its first engineering fair. The March 28th fair had 8 co-sponsors, all of which offer complimentary services.

The 8 companies who co-sponsored the event were: Alysyscom for PCBs, Enclosures Engineering for plastics, Intellect Lab for engineering services, Silicon Standard for semiconductor services, Suba Technology for contract manufacturing, TnB Enterprises for metal products, Valmark for printed components, and Volex for cables and connectors. The sponsors are all based in the South and East Bay.

Engineering professionals were invited to spend 90 minutes hearing about the services they may need, took a 10-minute tour of a contract manufacturing facility, and met Oakland Raiderette Cheerleaders. The cheerleaders signed footballs and took photos with the attendees, and a BBQ lunch was served.

Companies represented at the show included: 2Wire Inc., Adapcom, Analog Devices ARCi, Artisan Components, Celestica Corporation, Delta Products, ETA-USA, GarrettCom, iPolicy Networks, LaserCard Systems, Optima Technologies, Pacific Optical Solutions, Procera Networks, Rose Electronics, Sipix Imaging, Sun Microsystems, Themis Computer, Trident Micro, and Tyan Computer.

The show is the brainchild of Intellect Lab’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Neal Greenberg. According to Neal, “The engineering fair was a real success. Engineers had a fun way to find products and services they need. The suppliers had an inexpensive way to let prospective customers know what they do better. Everyone leaves with a smile on his or her face. This will be a quarterly event. The next event in July will be much bigger and better.”

Photos from the event are posted at www.knowledge-lab.net.
